Greek Architecture

From about 1700 BCE, civilizations that arose in the lands surrounding the Aegean Sea — from the peninsula of Greece to Macedonia in the north, modern Turkey in the east, and the islands in between — formed a significant cultural center. Architectural patterns developed in this area spread as far west as Italy and as far east as India.
