Linear Perspective

Circular

Circular perspective is used when a circle is not parallel to the picture plane. A circle that is not parallel to the picture plane will appear as an ellipse. The further away the circle tilts, the skinnier it gets. By drawing a bounding box around an ellipse, we can find the center as well as the major and minor axis's of the ellipse. Because all circles, as well as ellipses are symmetrical, these points allow us to determine the shape and proportions of the ellipse.
