Stripes

A vertical stripe pattern is created by combining long, narrow modules side by side or by using square modules that have a greater spacing horizontally than they do vertically. Notice in the exercise that even though the system is based on repeated vertical modules, the different shape relationships within each module can make the stripes appear to run horizontally or largely conceal the stripe effect altogether.

Click a button on the left to create different stripe patterns. Try altering the size and rotation by dragging the Scale and Rotate button to the left or right. The Variation button will randomly affect the rotation and size.
