Order

Rhythm

Rhythm refers to the regular recurrence of lines, shapes, forms, or colors in structures. It uses repetition to organize forms and spaces to create an aesthetically pleasing composition. Elements do not need to be perfectly identical in order to achieve rhythm; they may simply echo each other’s size, shape or detail characteristics.

The exercise will show the ways to organize rhythm through arrangement, position, and visual similarities. In all cases, humans find beauty in rhythmic repetitions of architectural forms.
