Director/Actor

Role of the Actor

The central role of an actor is to bring the character described in the script to life on the screen. Actors work hard before their performance researching the character and the film’s setting, memorizing their lines, and rehearsing.

When it is time for filming, actors use their body language, facial expressions, and voice quality to bring their characters to life. The most important characteristic of film actors (unlike theatre performers) is their ability to connect intimately with the camera to bring the audience a natural performance.
