Point of View

Perspective

In real life, everyone’s perspective on any event is different. The same event told by different people can be significantly altered. This is true in literature, too. Writers must be acutely aware that their narrative will be shaped by the perspective of the narrator, and carefully choose the perspective they want to give. The character’s perspective shapes a story in sometimes surprising ways.
