Drama

Setting

Theatrical performances rely on “drama,” that is a narrative that the actors enact on the stage by means of dialogue and action. (The “script” is the written version of the drama.)

Each drama has a specific “setting” that refers to its location and time period. Sometimes a drama requires a definitive setting, but directors often shift the settings of dramas to reveal a completely different form that still conveys the same message as the original.
