Stuart I. Fox earned his Ph.D. in medical physiology from the University of Southern California (USC) Medical School while teaching full-time at Los Angeles City College. He is the author of several widely used laboratory manuals and co-author of the textbook Concepts of Human Anatomy and Physiology.
Stuart has taught at California State University, Northridge, and is now a full-time faculty member at Pierce College, where his daughter, Laura, is currently a student. The numerous awards he has received reflect his love for teaching. Among his favorite pastimes are amateur astronomy, mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking and cross-country skiing in the Sierras.
