  10. Describe the formation of the limbs, face, and palate.
  11. Briefly describe the formation of the following major organ systems; integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive.
  12. Explain the process by which a one-chambered heart becomes a four-chambered heart.
  13. Describe the effects of hormones on the development of the male and the female reproductive systems.
  14. Explain the hormonal and nervous system factors responsible for parturition.
  15. Discuss circulatory, digestive, and other changes that occur at the time of birth.
  16. Explain the hormonal and nervous system factors responsible for lactation.
  17. List the stages of life and describe the major events associated with each stage.
  18. Describe the major changes associated with aging and death.
  19. Explain the major inheritance patterns.
  20. Define the term genetics, and explain how chromosomes are related to genes.
  21. Define the term gene, and explain how genes control cell functions.
  22. Describe the different ways in which genes are expressed.
  23. Give examples of different genetic disorders.
