Here's what the terms mean:

microbiology

The study of bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa and algae, which are collectively called microorganisms or microbes.

bioremediation The use of microbes to reduce or degrade pollutants or waste.
genetic engineering A field involving deliberate alteration of the genomes of living organisms.
adaptability Capability of an organism to be modified under changing environmental conditions.
sterilization Any process that completely removes or kills all viable microorganisms.
aseptic techniques

Techniques that prevent contamination by unwanted  organisms.

eucaryotic cells Cells containing a nucleus and other organelles.
procaryotic cells Small, structurally simple bacterial cells
scientific method A general approach taken by scientists to formulate and prove a hypothesis
spontaneous generation The hypothesis that new organisms can arise from nonliving matter.
hypothesis A tentative explanation to account for what has been observed or measured.
