Vascular-seedless I

The evolution of a vascular system in plants was a breakthrough and enabled more successful colonization of the land. Moisture from the soil could now be transported to the aboveground stems. The vascular tissue was also solidified with a hard material called lignin which provided support for stems. These features allowed plants to become larger and inhabit drier habitats.
