Leukocytes

There are five types of leukocytes. Note the variation in shape of the nuceli, the presence/absence of granules and the staining of the granules.

Leukocytes, white blood cells, are clear or whitish cells that lack hemoglobin but have a nucleus. Leukocytes protect the body against invading microorganisms and remove dead cells and debris from the body.
