Microtubules: Microtubules are fine, hollow tubes that make up the spindle apparatus used to move chromosomes around.
Centromere: Each chromosome has a constriction called the centromere, where chromatids of a chromosome are attached to each other, and to the spindle apparatus.
Mitosis: Mitosis is a process of cell division resulting in cells genetically identical to the cell form which they were formed.
Homologous chromosomes: Homologous chromosomes are chromosomes from each of two parents that carry genetic information for the same characteristics.
