Organisms are made of large organic molecules, and their interactions with one another underlie all biological processes. Water is one of the most important substances in existence. Without water, life as we know it would not be possible. Chemistry is important to the study of biology, and chemistry plays an important role in the lives of all who inhabit the earth.
