Sea urchin Development
This site from the Hardin Lab of the Department of Zoology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison has a great deal of information (including images and animations) on the development of sea urchins from zygote to adult.
The Interactive Fly
This site is a "cyberspace guide to Drosophila genes and their roles in development." There is a whole lot of material here centering on information on specific genes in Drosophila (e.g., check out the alphabetical list of Drosophila genes) and how they operate and interact during tissue and organ development in embryos and adults. There is a lot of detail here but it is all well-organized and enhanced with many images. Sponsored by the Society for Developmental Biology.
Fly-Morph-O-Genesis
This is a collection of fascinating clips of various aspects of embryogenesis in Drosophila. These clips were formed by taking individual scanning electron micrographs (SEM) and then "morphing" them together to show the overall changes that aoocur to the embryo through time. This site is sponsored by the Society for Developmental Biology. Required:QuickTime plugin or VivoActive plugin.
