  • NASA's Mission to Planet Earth
    An intriguing opportunity for connecting to those participating in the Mission to Planet Earth (MTPE), a NASA project examining how our global environment is changing. Site contents are categorized by research teams studying the elements of the Earth system: air, water, land, life, and sun. For the MTPE project, NASA uses its perspective from space to observe, monitor, and assess large-scale environmental processes-especially with respect to climate change. NASA uses MTPE satellite, aircraft, and ground data to comprehend environmental changes, ascertain how human activities impact these changes, and interpret the consequences of such changes. Visitors to the site may access many web sites, as well as a variety of educational activities and resources.

  • A Tour of the Flynn Bogs System
    Visitors can take a journey through a living bog at this site, richly illustrated with numerous color photographs. This virtual tour of the Flynn Bogs System and adjacent habitats in Leon County, Texas, guides visitors from Wet Woods, to Roadside Seep, to Sandy Pasture above the Roadside Seep, to Alder Thicket and Pond, to Pitcher Plant Bog, to Large Pond, and finally to Sandy Uplands above the Pitcher Plant Bog and Bond.
