Andrey Vassilyev is the Lead Scientist in the Laboratory of Plant Anatomy and Morphology at the Komarov Botanical Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Professor of Botany at St. Petersburg State University. His research has been varied in anatomy, but has had special emphasis on secretory structures.
