The McGraw-Hill Visual Resource Library, version 2.0 (VRL) CD-ROM is an electronic library of educational presentation resources. The VRL CD-ROM is comprised of the Kudo Catalog Reader, which allows the user to view, sort, search, use, and print catalog images. The VRL features preset PowerPoint presentations, which allows the user to play chapter-specific Slideshows. It also allows the user to:
Select from our chapter-specific PowerPoint driven presentations to meet your lecture needs. Or, create your own presentations, importing images into your lecture notes. The Visual Resource Library provides you with flexible options for a dynamic lecture.
The Kudo Catalog Reader allows you to view, sort, search, and use the catalog of images contained within the Visual Resource Library. The Reader contains the Kudo Image Browser for viewing and using the images. The Browser is used for performing searches and importing images into presentation software, such as PowerPoint. The Reader also contains the Kudo Image Viewer for viewing, annotating, and creating slide presentations.
The images are most typically organized by chapter. Double-clicking on a chapter will open the library of images for that chapter. Your CD-ROM may also include lecture outlines and PowerPoint presentations. These items are also organized by chapter. Your CD-ROM may also include additional programs, such as PowerPoint Viewer and Adobe Acrobat Reader. These additional programs are for your convenience.
The catalog contains all of the chapter-specific catalogs which are displayed as individual thumbnails. These chapter-specific catalog thumbnails contain all of the still images, lecture notes, PowerPoint presentations, or other resources available for that chapter. For Windows users, double-clicking on a chapter catalog thumbnail will open that specific chapter's catalog, displaying all of its contents for your access.
