Nowadays, computers are a part and parcel of many of our daily activities. Usage of computers has become a necessity and the computer, an essential commodity. With computers needed for various applications ranging from simple grocery-shop accounts to much complex aircraft control or banking, there exists a great requirement for software application development. To write a software application, one needs to have a thorough know-how of programming languages. If we were to purchase a car, we need to be ready with certain information such as our budget, our requirements, various models or makes of cars available in the market, and such other things. Similarly, to develop software, we need to know about various programming languages that are available for the required task. This book titled Principles of Programming Languages: A Paradigm Approach aims to cover the various models or methodologies used in programming.

This book offers to-the-point discussion on fundamental concepts and paradigms related to programming. It lays emphasis on building semantics and syntactic concepts required for implementation of various programming languages.
