Unlocking the Worksheet

The FAST Workbooks by Ross, Westerfield & Jaffe are locked; only data entry cells are unprotected. If you wish to change any aspect of protected cells, including font, color, etc., you must first unlock the worksheet.

To make changes, go to the worksheet you wish to modify, then unlock it.  You can now edit the contents of all cells. Remember to lock the worksheet again when you are done. To unlock a worksheet follow these steps:

1. Select Tools | Protection.

2. Choose Unprotect Sheet.

To lock the worksheet follow these steps:

1. Select Tools | Protection.

2. Choose Protect Sheet

3. Click OK.

It is advisable that you take a backup copy of the original Spreadsheet Template file before making any changes to it. If you happen to make a mistake and overwrite the original file, you can always reinstall the product.
