Hoover's has rapidly become one of the best sources of free and fee-based business information and links on the web. (True Finance geeks can spend hours playing with the stock screens at Hoover's stockscreener.com).
Companylink is another source of company profiles. At last count, this site provided access to approximately 65,000 (!) profiles.
Zack's is one of the premier sources of business information on the web (especially when it comes to company earnings figures).

Dun and Bradstreet's home page provides news and information on their credit and collections services, as well as timely articles of interest to those in the field of short-term finance.
Topics related to international finance can be found on several web sites. For example, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago offers a large, downloadable file containing daily exchange rate data, while online currency calculators can be found at Bloomberg's web site.
If you need currency data (current or historical), go to oanda.com. You'll find an exchange rate calculator, as well as a historical rate retrieval tool.
On the other hand, information on doing business globally is available. And Bloomberg's web site contains international yield curve data. Finally, international financial statistics can be found at www.ifc.org.
