"Daewoo: Stuck in Neutral"

Business Week, February 18, 2002

Synopsis:
This article provides an update of the closing case of Chapter 14 that describes the dissolution of the strategic alliance between General Motors (GM) and Daewoo Motor Company. As GM agreed to buy a controlling stake in Daewoo last September, the transaction was expected to conclude by the end of last year. As this article explains, however, the deal still remains undone as of today. Even though both parties have an interest in the deal, many hurdles prevent the GM-Daewoo talks from progressing toward a done-deal.
