"Enron Hasn't Made Many Friends in the Third World"

This article provides another update for the case in chapter 3 that describes Enron's investment in India. The case mainly focuses on the controversial issues related to the Dabhol power project in the Indian state of Maharashtra. This article covers an image of the energy giant and its operations not only in India but also in other Third World countries, Argentina and Mozambique, from which Enron has drawn similar criticisms. This article also explains the lessons Enron learned from its Third World embarrassments, which can be applied to other multinationals that usually rush into complex developing nations.
