- At any point in time there is almost always some trade dispute between the US and Canada (forest products, agriculture, or fishing are most common), between various countries and the EU (particularly Japan, but more frequently from Eastern Europe in recent years), between the US and Japan (electronics and autos always seem to be in turmoil), and between everyone and China. Look at contemporary trade issues and trade disputes in recent business journals, or just do some searching on a database like ABI/Inform. Recent editions of current publications that can be searched on-line is also a good way to learn about a trade dispute (e.g., The Wall Street Journal www.wsj.com, The New York Times www.nytimes.com, The Economist www.economist.com).
