"Asia:
Is This the Rebound? "
Business Week,
March 25, 2002.
Synopsis:
This article discusses the prospect of the recovery in Asia. As
indicated by the growth forecasts that are being revised upward,
many Asia's export-dependent economies may soon recover partially
thanks to the fast recovery of the U.S. economy. However, the
degree of the restructuring and reforming that has been undertaken
especially since the regional financial crisis will result in
a really wide variation in growth rates among Asian countries.
This article also provides an in-depth analysis of the potential
for growth in several countries including Japan, China, Korea,
Thailand, and Malaysia.
