This special report reviews diverse issues related to agricultural trade. This article argues that the agricultural trade negotiations have real momentum probably for the first time. It also reviews rationales and justifications of several countries for their domestic support systems for agricultural sectors. This article also explains how the World Trade Organization (WTO) may help liberalize and promote agricultural trade.
