"Backlash: Behind the Anxiety over Globalization" Business Week, April 24, 2000, pp.38-44.

Synopsis:
Is globalization good or bad? Based on a Business week/Harris poll released recently, this cover story explains why the issue of globalization is not as simple as it may look. Even though as many as 64% of Americans polled think globalization benefits the U.S economy, only 10% describe themselves as free traders. Most of those polled are worried about the negative consequences of globalization such as unfair competition, environmental damage, and job loss. This article also summarizes the pros and cons of globalization and reports the result of the Business week/Harris poll in detail.
