"Economic growth: Hey, What about US?"
Business Week, December 27th, 1999, pp. 52-55.
Synopsis:
As the 21st century dawns, is there any sign of a retreat from globalization and the benefits it brings? This article reports the results of a poll regarding how Americans feel about the business boom and globalization. Most who participated in the poll say that the benefits of the booming economy have been distributed unevenly; they also show concerns about the job and environmental issues in international trade and globalization. This article also reveals how familiar the participants are with the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the recent events surrounding the WTO summit in Seattle.
