O'Rilly, Brian (1997), "The Secrets of America's most admired corporations: New ideas, new products," Fortune, March 3, Vol. 135, pp. 60-64.

This article discusses Fortune magazine's picks for the most admired companies. Organizations from various industries are profiled for their creative and novel approach to delivering innovative products to the marketplace. Creativity in every aspect of the corporation is identified as being integral to delivering value. The author contends "creativity has to be encouraged in staffing, brandishing, and business processes.

Henkoff, Ronald (1996), "Growing your company: Five ways to do it right," Fortune, November 25, Vol. 134, pp. 78-88.

Companies once obsessed with cutting costs are now driving hard to boost sales with new products, new services, and new markets at home and overseas. Organizations such as Cisco Systems and Emerson Electric are profiled and the article recognizes traits such as stable, experienced management, consistent investments in R&D, and human resources as reasons for their continued success.
