This book is an extension of a study commissioned by the Department
of Industry Science and Tourism of the Government of Australia entitled
"International Best Practice in the Adoption and Management of
New Technology." The study was supervised and prepared by Danny
Samson, Professor and Department Chair of Management at the University
of Melbourne and Norma Harrison, Deputy Director MGSM, Director International
Programs, Macquarie Graduate School of Management. Cases were written
by leading national experts associated with 13 nationally recognized
institutions. Students who study from this text will benefit from the
in-depth research undertaken during this project, a truly global and
"real" perspective.
