The Authors

Freeman


Dr. Donald Freeman is Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies in Language Teacher Education at the School for International Training and directs the Center for Teacher Education, Training and Research. Dr. Freeman has published several books on teacher education and on teacher-research, as well as over 50 articles. He is the editor of The Teacher Source Series (Heinle}. He works regularly with teachers in various settings around the world facilitating teacher development, school change and student learning. Dr. Freeman is a past president of TESOL, member of the Board of the TESOL International Research Foundation and the International Advisory Council for the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (formerly UCLES). He has an Ed.D. from Harvard University.



Graves


Dr. Kathleen Graves is on the graduate faculty at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont, where she teaches courses in curriculum design, metholody and linguistics. She has taught English in Brazil, Japan, Taiwan and the United States. She has worked with language teachers and teacher educators around the world in the areas of reflective teaching, teacher observation and supervision, and language curriculum and materials development. Dr. Graves is the author/editor of East-West (Oxford University Press) and Designing Language Courses: A Guide for Teachers (Heinle) and is the editor of the new TESOL Curriculum Development series. She holds a Ph.D. from Lancaster University, UK.


Lee


Linda Lee has taught ESL/EFL in Iran, China, Italy and the U.S. She has worked as a Teacher Trainer in the U.S. and a Master Teacher in Iran. In addition to ICON Ms. Lee is the author of All-Star (McGraw-Hill), Select Readings 1 & 2 (Oxford), Transitions 1 & 2 (Oxford), Explorations 1 & 2 (Oxford); JTalk (Oxford), Making Connections 1-3 (Heinle), Multicultural Reading and Writing Workshop 1-4 (Heinle); Perspectives 2000 1 & 2 (Heinle). Ms. Lee has academic degrees in a variety of disciplines including a M.Ed. from Boston University.
