What's Your "Fun Level?"
Having fun is good for your health. If you find that surprising, you probably could benefit from the following "pleasure assessment" profile.
Step 1
Just for the fun of it, place yourself on the Fun and Pleasure Scale below. Zero (0) is neutral; you don't think much about fun, one way or the other. Plus 5 means that your life is filled with pleasant activities. Minus 5 means that you never have fun, that you get no pleasure out of life.
Step 2
List your top ten favorite activities, and the number of times you have done them this week:

- What is the total number of times you,ve had fun this week?
- If your weekly "fun count" was less than ten, you're not doing pleasurable things as often as you should. Make time for at least one of these activities every day. If anyone asks why you're having so much fun, explain it's for your health!
Warning: Serious, prolonged bouts of depression should be dealt with by a mental-health professional. Contact your mental-health agencies for assistance.
