Eating Behaviors to Consider

Answer the following questions to reveal information about your eating habits, how you developed certain tastes, and your attitude about various foods.

  1. When was the last time you tried a new food? What was the food? What were the circumstances?
  2. What new foods have you learned to eat during the past year?
  3. Name the foods that have been on your "will not try" list (that is, foods that you will not eat under any circumstances.)
  4. What special events do you celebrate in some way with food?
  5. Where is your favorite place to eat?
  6. If you were to go on an eating binge, what foods would you be most likely to eat?
  7. Describe in detail your favorite meal.
  8. Do you consider yourself a slow eater, moderately fast eater, or gulper? What do you think is responsible for your eating pattern?
  9. To what extent, if any, are your eating habits related to stress? Emotions?
  10. What do you consider to be your good eating habits? Poor eating habits?
