What is CPS?

What can you do with CPS?

Take Attendance*

Quickly and easily know who’s showing up for your lectures and classes by having each student use their required response pad.

Give and Grade Tests and Quizzes*

Tests and quizzes can be given with CPS either electronically or with paper. Yes, you can give paper based tests with CPS. Your CPS system replaces the scantron (or bubble sheet). Students move at their own pace through the paper test entering their objective answers independently with their CPS response pad. You can even give different versions to your class to help prevent cheating. Grades are calculated and recorded immediately. Tests and quizzes are graded in a matter of seconds – not hours, days or weeks!

There are limitations to the number of students you can give a paper based test to, please visit eInstruction for more information.

Ask questions and get immediate feedback

You can begin using CPS immediately by simply verbalizing your questions to the class and let them respond. No need to pre-populate CPS. You can also use CPS questions created for your text when available or create your own questions. Instantly, you see how many of your students understand your material. What better way to stimulate class discussion and know what areas they need help with?

Post grades, results and feedback online*

After gathering test results, you can upload them to your CPS Online course. This allows your students using a web browser to login and view their grade privately and allows them to see how they did compared to the rest of the class. They can review every question and for those they missed, see the correct answer, allowing them to go back and study what they don’t know. That’s the most effective study guide you can offer.

* Differences between the Mac and PC version exist. Please see the Specifications and to find out how this feature works with your platform.
