What is CPS?

How does CPS work?

The CPS system consists of software you install on your computer, response pads your students purchase, receiver(s) and CPSOnline.

Note: For information on adopting the CPS system, please see “How can I get CPS?” for more information.

Once you get your CPS system you will need to install the software on your computer. You will also create your CPSOnline course at the CPSOnline Web site

Note: While using CPS in class you are not required to have Internet access.

Your CPSOnline course allows your students to register their response pads to your course. The online roster can then be downloaded to your CPS desktop program. This means you don’t ever have to manually load student names into your roster. Even if a student drops or adds, you simple “sync” your roster. CPSOnline notifies you when a new student joins.

Your students are required to purchase a response pad and an access code to register that pad. The response pad is purchased through the bookstore, and the access code is purchased online, exceptions do exist.

Note: “How can I get CPS?” will explain more about this.

Your students will register their response pads with CPSOnline and be ready for class.
