GRAPHING CALCULATOR SKILLS The graphing calculator can assist us in evaluating functions when the function is given in terms of an equation. Example: Find f (0) if f (x) = |x - 4|. Solution: Input the equation into the equation editor. GRAPH TRA E The display at the bottom shows y = 4 at x = 0. So, f (0) = 4. Note: The initial value displayed for x when we press TRACE is x = 0.
