Michael Bradshaw

Author Michael Bradshaw served as Principal Lecturer and Head of the Geography and Geology Department at the University College of St. Mark & St. John, Plymouth, England, for 20 years. In the middle of his teaching career, Professor Bradshaw earned his Ph.D. from Leicester University, which he received in 1985. His Ph.D. studies were done in the U.S., where he traveled widely and researched the effects of government programs on the people of the Appalachian region. He has traveled extensively throughout the world. Widely published, he served as Director of the Centre for North American Studies in Plymouth for 15 years. Professor Bradshaw also authors the McGraw-Hill geography texts, Foundations in Physical Geography and Physical Geography: An Introduction to Earth Environments. He now lives in Canterbury, England.
