- Nailhead calcite crystals (largest is 2 cm in diameter) dominated by the hexagonal prism {100}. The larger crystal is terminated by faces of the "flat" rhombohedron {012} , whereas the small crystal (lower left) is terminated by faces of the {211} scalenohedron and basal pinacoid {001}.
