Covellite
   CuS    Hexagonal    and Bornite   Cu5FeS4    Orthorhombic
o Supergene (low-T aqueous, weathering) environment. (chapter 13)
- Fractured primary hydrothermal bornite (peach color) host contains secondary supergene covellite (blue) in cleavage- or fracture-controlled microveins. Some microveins contain chalcopyrite (yellow)(next to bornite) and idaite (Cu3FeS4), both minerals representing a second (post-bornite) stage of primary hydrothermal mineralization.
