Having taught environmental geology for over 20 years, Dr. Carla Montgomery presents the fifth edition update of her successful text, Environmental Geology. She received her M.A. in geology from Dartmouth College and her Ph.D. in geochemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of America. Her research interests include high-temperature geochemistry and geochronology. Currently, she is serving as associate dean of the Graduate School at Northern Illinois University as well as a member of the geology faculty.
