Normative Economics—Republicans versus Democrats. Many economic policy statements made by both the Republicans http://www.rnc.org/ and the Democrats http://www.democrats.org/ are normative rather than positive economic statements. Visit both the Republican and Democratic Web sites and compare and contrast their views on how to achieve economic goals. How much of the rhetoric is based on positive statements compared with normative statements?
