Federal Expenditures—Historical Tables and 5-Year Estimates The Office of Management and Budget provides a search page for Federal budget publications at http://www.access.gpo.gov/omb/omb003.html. Search for the current fiscal year outlays estimates by selecting Historical Tables and inserting the search words OUTLAYS BY FUNCTION AND SUBFUNCTION for the previous 25 years to 5 years in the future. Use the data provided to create pie charts for 25 years ago the current year and 5 years hence using the following categories: pensions and income security national defense health interest on the public debt and all other. Which categories are shrinking and which are expanding as a percentage of total expenditures
