Chapter 31 Websites

Analysis of employment and unemployment for the United States comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, found at www.bls.gov. Statistics on unemployment in Europe and other OECD countries can be found at www.oecd.org/statlist.htm. The BLS site also has an online version of The Monthly Labor Review at www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/mlrhome.htm, which is an excellent source for studies about employment, labor issues, and compensation. For example, if you want to learn about trends in employment, you might consult "High-Technology Employment: A Broader View," Monthly Labor Review, June 1999, online at www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/1999/06/art3full.pdf.
