Case Studies The Case Studies presented in this section of the SEPA 5/e Web site were developed by student teams at the University of Michigan, Dearborn during the Spring, 2000 term. Each case study contains software engineering work products developed for student projects. The following work products are considered:
These work products will provide you with a feel for the format and content used to present information derived during the software process. It should be noted that these case studies are intended as a guide - not as a definitive "standard" for software engineering work products. Every software engineer and project team must develop an approach that is appropriate for the product to be built and process that will be used. I have annotated the work products, where appropriate, to point out areas where improvement might be considered. Case Study # 1 - Waste Management Inspection Tracking System (WMITS)
Case Study # 2 - GameForge
Note to Instructors: If you feel that a team under your direction has created a set of exemplary software engineering work products, and you would like to have these work products used an a case study at this web site, please contact Dr. Pressman via e-mail describing the project and the documents produced. Please do not submit any documents until you are requested to do so. |
