Tutorial on Resistors in Series and Parallel - Part 2

Ordinarily, two resistors are not in series if there is a node between them, but in this problem, the 1 W and 3 W resistors behave as though they are in series, because no current can flow through the 2 W resistor. The result is a total resistance of 4 W.
