That's right. You start from the original circuit.
Then you redraw the circuit with the 12 A source and the 720 V source removed; here's what you get:
Now it's clear that the 100 W and 140 W
resistors are in series, and the 150 W resistor is
shorted out.
I480 = 480/(100 + 140) = 2 A
Let's move on to the next source. Calculate the contribution of the 12 A source to I0.
