Helpful Hints for Mathcad 7

To use these files you MUST have Mathcad 7 Student version or higher. If you are using Mathcad 6, then use the files at The Mathcad 6 version. Mathcad 6 is currently the latest release for Windows 3.1/WFW 3.11 and Macintosh. Please see Macintosh issues for a discussion of some of the issues involved with viewing Mathcad files developed under Windows with a Macintosh.

First make sure that Mathcad is closed and that your browser has been set up to launch Mathcad as a helper application whenever it receives an application/x-mathcad MIME type, i.e MIME type=application, Subtype=x-mathcad. Some browsers will not behave well if the application is open when a file that uses it is fetched over the Internet by HTTP.

In each worksheet yoyu may change the values highlighted in yellow to investigate teh behavior of the solutions. The answers are either highlighted in rose or are graphs.

Alternately you can open Mathcad and access the files directly by their URL's. If you want to be able to access all of them by hyperlinks from within Mathcad, you can go to http://grumpy.aero.ufl.edu/Mathcad7/index.mcd.

You may momentarily see the worksheet and then have it disappear from within Mathcad. If that happens either "cascade" or "tile" your windows to reveal the worksheet.
