Errata for A.M. Law and W.D. Kelton, Simulation Modeling and Analysis, third edition, McGraw-Hill, 2000

• Chapter 2, simlib.c file.  This is not really an error, but is an unspecified behavior that might cause problems, e.g., in solving some Problems at the end of the chapter.  In the version of simlib in the file simlib.c (in Appendix 2A in the book, and downloadable under "Code and Files from Book" on this website's front page), after invoking the function list_file(option, list) described on p. 116 to place the attributes of a record that you've placed in the transfer array into list "list", the contents of the transfer array will be gone, so are not available there after invoking list_file.  In other words, list_file "cuts" the contents from the transfer array, rather than "copying" the contents and leaving them intact in the transfer array for subsequent use.  It would be convenient in some cases if the behavior of list_file were "copy" rather than "cut" so that the transfer array's contents would be left intact.  The source-code file simlib3july2003.c, in the .zip archive simlib3july2003.zip, implements this change in behavior.  Simply download and use simlib3july2003.c rather than simlib.c (all the other component files related to simlib are the same) if you wish to change this behavior of list_file.
• p. 315:  The caption for Figure 6.15 should be "JSB(a₁, a₂, 0, 1) density functions".
• p. 315:  The caption for Figure 6.16 should be "JSU(a₁, a₂, 0, 1) density functions".
• p. 378:  P(t) in equation (6.6) should be boldface (i.e., P(t)) to indicate that it's a vector.
• p. 402:  Remove Section 7.5 from the Recommended reading in the box.
• p. 469:  In Section 8.3.13 (Johnson Unbounded), first line, change a to g (Greek letter gamma), and change b to b (Greek letter beta).
