Alcohol is linked to an alarming number of traffic fatalities. In addition to being a personal risk, drunk driving is also a risk for millions of innocent and safe drivers. It is estimated that over 4 million people each year are injured or have had their cars damaged from drunk drivers. Partly in response to the social injustic, organizations such as Mothers Against Drunk Driving have led efforts to combat drunk driving.
