Want to see where your state stands with respect of release of toxic chemicals to the environment? Scary data. Vermont, among the contiguous U.S. States is the most environmentally friendly. #1? Texas. This site, supported by the Environmental Defense fund gives much information on toxins in the U.S. You can even enter your zip code and see the rating for your county. I was not pleased to see that my county (Orange County, CA) ranked in the worst 20% of all counties in the U.S.
